I engage in ongoing professional learning, using evidence
to continually evaluate my practice, especially where the effects of my choices and actions on others (students, families, and other professionals in the learning community) are concerned. I am constantly learning from my own experiences in the classroom, always examining my own practice, and working to adapt my practice to meet the needs of each learner.
I am a member of notable professional organizations in my field: the Modern Language Association, the National Council of Teachers of English, and the Student Virginia Education Association.
